Close Hauled Software Awarded Contract for Explosives Detection System

Portland, OR, March 27, 2008 - Under a recently signed contract with Kromek (formerly known as Durham Scientific Crystals Ltd) and Close Hauled Software, SightLine Applications LLC will develop explosive detection and identification algorithms and software subsystems. This software technology, coupled with DSC's patented Cadmium Telluride sensor, will automatically detect explosives using x-rays. Development of software for the first prototype, a small baggage scanner suitable for testing in an airport, is underway.

Dr. Gary Gibson, Integrated Systems Manager for DSC states "DSC Ltd. evaluated a number of different software companies and selected the Close Hauled Software / SightLine Applications consortium due to the strength of their offering in the proposal.
